CBDT chairman Sushil Chandra appointed as election commissioner; second IRS officer to be given position

Sushil Chandra, a 1980-batch Indian revenue service (IRS) official, has joined the ranks of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora, who was appointed on 2 December, 2018, and Ashok Lavasa.
