The Indian U19 team is captained by Uday Saharan, while Hugh Weibgen is the captain of the Australian U19 side. India have five U19 titles to their name, the highest in the tournament history and are aiming for a record-extending sixth trophy. They are also ging to play in a fifth straight final. Australia have won the U19 World Cup three times in the past. India defeated South Africa by two wickets in semi-finals, while Australia defeated Pakistan by one wicket.
